Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was TV personality and ex-chef at the Institute of Culinary Education and in the past, she taught cooking. The host of The Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature spiky blond locks and pumped to the max, shares easy techniques anyone can master. Chef Burrell had a job at the top New York restaurants and studied Italian cuisine and environment. She also competed in the Food Network's Iron Chef America. While growing up in Upstate New York, Chef Burrell discovered a love for cooking and eating at very young. After earning an English and Communication degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she became interested in the industry of restaurants by enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America. I loved every minute that I was a student at The Culinary Institute of America she says. It was impossible to learn how to do, or even work hard enough. Chef Burrell, after graduating from the Culinary Institute for Foreigners in Italy completed a one-year stint in Umbria in Umbria at La Taverna del Lupo and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, a Michelin-starred restaurant. In her time in Italy she came to be aware of the history and concept behind Italian cuisine and its culture, which created a lasting impact in her viewpoint. Burrell was on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which brightens children's lives who have issues and also is an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Celebrity Ambassador. she is an advocate for juvenile diabetes awareness. She frequently travels around the country in her role as both a mentor and an invited speaker, where she talks about her professional life and the joy of cooking. Through her culinary adventures, Anne has often said that I am very fortunate be able to share the passion I have within my life with other people.
